Product Information
Capacitive touch switches detect the presence of a conductive object, such as a human finger, by measuring changes in capacitance. Since there are no moving or mechanical components, capacitive switches eliminate mechanical failure points and deliver exceptional durability, even in harsh operating environments.
Keetronics designs and manufactures capacitive switch solutions as complete, self-contained systems that seamlessly integrate into your product design. Our switches can be customized with advanced features such as LED backlighting, touchpads, touchscreens, proximity sensing, and multi-function interfaces to meet application-specific requirements.
A typical capacitive switch construction consists of three main elements: a graphic overlay, an electronic circuit (FPC or PCB), and a backer layer. The overlay displays custom graphics and can include windows, embossing, coatings, selective texturing, and industrial-grade adhesives. Depending on the application, the backer may include adhesive bonding to ensure secure mounting on the target surface.
We use high-quality overlay materials such as plastic, acrylic, and glass for durability and design flexibility. Adhesives are carefully selected to ensure uniform dielectric properties, strong mechanical bonding, and long-term reliability. For color accuracy, Keetronics follows Pantone Matching System or CMYK standards and can match customer-provided samples.
For applications requiring illumination, capacitive switches can be integrated with LED backlighting or light guides to achieve uniform brightness. Low-power LED technology ensures reduced energy consumption, making these switches ideal for portable and battery-powered devices.
Keetronics capacitive touch switches are widely used in automobiles, industrial machinery, medical equipment, consumer electronics, control panels, and many everyday devices where reliability, aesthetics, and hygiene are critical.
